Tropical Storm Ketsana – Manila Philippines

I know a lot of internet marketers outsource work to the Philippines these days and the people they hire are diligent and hard working.  I myself have a small team of writers and webmasters and watching the devastation unfold filled me with horror and sadness.   Worryingly, I also have one of that team unaccounted for – the last message he sent told me he was about to lose internet connection as the water was at the door!

The disaster hasn’t been as widely publicized here in the UK as I would have expected but the country really does need massive help from those of us lucky enough to live in wealthier countries.

I was very pleased to see that Xoom.com has set up a mechanism that allows free transaction fees on donations to the Phillipines Red Cross so please take a little of what you have and make a donation to help these guys get back on their feet as quickly as possible.

Custom Sidebar Navigation Menus for Wordpress

How would you like to add a custom menu on a page of your choice in Wordpress?  This is something I have wanted to achieve for ages.  I’ve searched high and low for a plugin but to no avail.  Then today, I receive an email containg a link to the top 160 wordpress plugins and low and behold it recommends an awesome plugin called Simple Sidebar Navigation.   I’ve installed it, tested it and it works like a charm.  Now you can have a custom menu on every page/post of your wordpress blog if you so choose.
